Photo Upload Guidelines

As a platform with user-generated content, we place great importance on quality, legal compliance, and thematic relevance. To ensure we're all on the same page, here are a few important guidelines and examples for uploading photos.
✅ Image Quality

A good photo is not only nice to look at but also helps keep our platform lively and informative. Please pay attention to the following:
- At least 1024 pixels wide
- Landscape format (16:9) – cropping happens automatically during upload
- Sharp focus on the main subject
- Balanced lighting – not too bright or too dark
🔁 Duplicate or Similar Photos

We love great photos – but do we really need the nth shot from the same angle? Take a moment to consider whether your photo adds real value:
- Is the weather especially beautiful?
- Is the quality better than existing photos?
- Does your photo offer a new perspective?
👤 Personal Rights & Artistic Freedom

We of course respect personal image rights. At the same time, amusement park photos often blur the lines with artistic documentation.
Here's how we handle it: If someone can clearly identify themselves in a photo and requests it not be published, we will remove it from the gallery – provided that the person is the main subject of the image.
Example:
- Main subject: A person in front of an attraction – may be removed
- Incidental: People on a moving roller coaster – will stay
In amusement parks, you must generally expect to appear in photos unintentionally.
⚠️ Copyright

Only upload photos that you took yourself or for which you have explicit permission to publish.
Not allowed:
- Logos, posters, screenshots, or press photos
- Images from the internet or from third parties
ℹ️ There's a way to mark material with official usage licenses. Only our team at coaster.cloud can upload such content – for example, as part of collaborations or for press purposes.
🚫 Inappropriate or Off-topic Content

We want the photos on our platform to inspire – not confuse or offend. That's why we reserve the right to reject images that don't fit coaster.cloud.
Examples of unwanted content:
- Personal memory photos or selfies
- Onride photos
- Photos of food
- Negative portrayals of people or things
- Off-topic content (e.g. streets, sky, rain clouds, traffic jams, construction sites)
