This classic wooden roller coaster has been an instantly recognizable landmark for four decades of riders at Six Flags Over Georgia. There’s no mistaking the profile of the legendary classic ride, perfectly named Great American Scream Machine. This gargantuan creature was built in 1973. It rolls out over 3,800 feet of track that will have you screaming from the moment you leave the station on your initial climb up to a dizzying 105 feet. This was sure steep back in 1973 and it’s still steep now.
